Wheel and wait
Poem No. 780
Wheel and wait from early to very late however long the shadow however gold the heavens time keeps a well-worn trait of rigid rate however quick joy may flee however long sorrows stay the minutes all run straight and do not wait.
A lot of my early poems were reflections on time. How it passes, how I see it looking backward. It is an old and well-worn theme. Many have written much about Time. But not enough!
I am glad to make my own small additions.
It is a curious thing, how we all are subject to it, all share the exact same instant across the globe. And no one can, for all the strength in the world, change its flow by a single second.
